RESOURCE CENTRE
Considerable work went into planning and execution of the Resource Centre project. The Centre was inaugurated on 23rd October 2011 by District Governor of RI Dist. 3030 Rtn.Gopalrao Shiralkar in the eminent presence of Dr.(Mrs.) G.Shashikala,M.D.
Sheikh Asgharali Hasanali Maimoon Charitable Trust has provided space and equipment for the Resource Centre. Rtn. Dr. Nisreen Maimoon and Dr. Sofia Azad manage the Resource Centre with the help of various experts and provide special education, outside school hours, based on IEPs.
DIAGNOSTIC CAMP
A multi specialty Diagnostic Camp was organized on 22nd April 2012 at the Resource Centre. The camp was inaugurated by PDG Rtn.Bobby Sriniwas, the senior most Rotarian of Nagpur. A total of 53 children screened by 3 schools were further evaluated by a team of Paediatrician, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist, General Physician and Psychologists. The special education needs of children from amongst these will be looked after by the Resource Centre.
